Provided creative services (writing, art direction, design and illustration) as a design consultant to a host of high-profile entertainment and media companies.
Walt Disney World: designed sets and shows, produced conceptual renderings and wrote scenic scopes for numerous projects, working closely with show directors and technical reps of various departments to produce the most entertaining shows possible within projected budgets. Examples:
Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade at the Animal Kingdom. Did first pass at overall concept, designed and art-directed all eleven innovative ride vehicles (drum units, character jeeps and bicycle rickshaws). Cinderella's Castle Cake in the Magic Kingdom. Came up with the initial concept for WDW's 25th Anniversary, did several variations, then art-directed the final design.
Animation Celebration at Disney-MGM. Designed graphics and visual elements.
Fairies meet and greet in the Magic Kingdom. Did concept art and detailed design of Tinkerbell and her friends' fantasy tree-home, with a magical frozen fountain and oversized items from the human world.
Woody's Cowboy Round-up in Frontierland, designed as a giant board game with stick-horses that children rode down the trail marked out by cardboard punch-out icons from the Old West.
DAK Grand Opening party at Wide World of Sports. Conceptualized and art-directed eight distinctive animal-themed dining areas inside and 150 exterior food stations, plus a themed entry for the venue
Universal: Did concept art and design of numerous shows and shops in their various parks.
Busch Gardens: Designed and art directed various elements, including set pieces and props, of
Howl-O-Scream, acclaimed by reviewers in the haunted attraction industry as the best in the nation.
Dixie Stampede: Designed sets and show elements of Pirates Voyage, an action dinner show in Myrtle Beach. Created storyboards and concept art for various show proposals and new venues.
Nickelodeon Recreation: Did conceptual renderings for the re-branding of the indoor amusement park at Mall of America, and digitally painted detailed illustrations of Singapore's Temple of Spongebob.
Steelman Partners: Reconceptualized major attractions for HappyLand theme park in Viet Nam, writing new storylines and creating concept art for all lands and many of the rides and shows within them.
Renaissance Entertainment: Produced concept art and/or storyboards for Malibu Beach Party and Roadies (Hard Rock Park), Baywatch (SeaWorld) and several shows for Chimelong in China, as well as Batman, The Mask of Zorro, Pirates 3-D, UFO Encounters and a stunt show at Universal whose IP is confidential Integrity Attractions: Developed the initial concept of Thrill Island, a partially enclosed water park in China, writing the storyline, theming the buildings and rides, and designing a logo for each of the lands. Cutting Edge Haunt Design Co.: Conceptualized Castle of Fear, an 80-acre theme park based on a haunted castle, with the option of being used for Renaissance fairs during the off-season. Ripley's Entertainment: Painted a surrealistic illustration for the Guinness World Records attraction, displayed as a 40-ft mural on the exterior of the building.
The Nassal Company: Designed and art-directed graphics for all displays in the Kennedy Space Center's Exploration in the New Millennium exhibit, as well as a sculpture of the "family of the future."
Planet Hollywood: Designed menus, placemats and kids' activity book for MarvelMania restaurant.
